British Columbia Coastline Take Another Look

Updated 07 Dec 2010 07:42 ET by meyer4m.blogspot.com

The NDP motion passed Canada House of Commons today viewed largely symbolic Conservatives voted against this motion curiously the Quebec separatist bloc voted for the motion

Some concern as enforcement of such an action would create violation internationally accepted marine law possibly discouraging tanker safety investment and in all likelihood remain a point of contention for which to draw attention to historical significance of coastal waters as they pertain indigenous communities which is good and fragile eco-systems

Should oil tanker traffic be diverted would necessitate tanker route detour cost and political fallout from testing this measure could be devastating in all likelihood an NDP good-will motion
